Do I need a referral for treatment?


No, as physiotherapists, exercise physiologists and occupational therapists are primary practitioners, we can see clients without a referral. However, for patients who are part of compensable programs; DVA, Chronic Disease Management / EPC, hospital programs or wish to be funded through their Home Care Package / STRC, we require a doctor/hospital referral or referral from your case manager/care advisor prior to commencing your home care.




What qualifications do your team members have?


All home Health Rehab therapists are Australian qualified and registered with the Australian Medical registration (AHPRA). Some of our therapists specialise in certain areas and have post-graduate qualifications in particular areas of study. Our team includes:

  • Physiotherapists
  • Occupational therapists
  • Exercise Physiologists




Are there any travel fees for home rehab?


No. Home Health Rehab do not change any extra for travel. This is included in our fees.




How long is a treatment session?


Initial physiotherapy / exercise physiology assessments are 45min in duration and 30min for subsequent sessions. Initial OT assessments will vary between 1-1.5hours depending on the complexity of the clients equipment needs.




What will it cost for Home Rehab treatment?


Treatment costs will vary depending on the client's particular issue and needs. If applicable, please check with your health fund to confirm if you are eligble for home visits and call us on 1300 432 219 to discuss our fee structure.




Do I need to supply any equipment?


Home Health Rehab therapists will be provide all required equipment. To assist in your treatment, we may recommend you purchase some extra equipment. Please allow a clean space for our therapists to properly assess and treat you.




What is the wait time for treatment?


At Home Health Rehab we aim to see patients within 3-5 days business days. For urgent matters we will see you earlier or same day (subject to availability).

Can I claim for Home Rehab treatment?


Your Home Health Rehab sessions may be eligible for a partial or full funding via:

  • Private Health Insurance rebates
  • Government funded packages e.g. Home Care Packages
  • Medicare rebates under the Chronic Disease Management Plan (EPC)
  • DVA (eligible card holders with doctors referral
We work with a number of Aged Care Providers in City of Greater Geelong, Surf Coast Shire, Bellarine Peninsula, Western Metropolitan Melbourne, Colac Otway, City of Ballarat and Goldern Plains regions.
